Eleanor Boardman
KENNETH HARLAN. Black and white 7.5 x 10.7 book-weight chest-up portrait, with printed biography below, removed from the 1924 edition of "Stars of the Photoplay," signed and inscribed in turqoise fountain pen, "To John/Sincerely/Kenneth Harlan/[indecipherable]/ 6/25/61." Image by Freulich. Fine condition, with mild handling bendsin the top right corner and portions of the inscription and his surname penned against the dark background of the image, with poor contrast. The romantic leading man of the silent screen was relegated to supporting, frequently unbilled, roles with the advent in sound, retiring in 1943. In all he appeared in 200 films, a number only slightly higher than the number of times he was married. Autographed material is rather uncommon. John Verzi collection.
