Bob Hope
BOB HOPE. Vintage 6.3 x 9 glossy black and white publicity still from Thanks For the Memory (1938), depicting Hope with co-star Shirley Ross, boldly signed and inscribed in purple fountain pen, "To Kay/Bob/Hope." Fine condition, with the photo trimmed from its original 8x10 size. Cashing in on the duo's popularity in The Big Broadcast of 1938, in which they had introduced the song, "Thanks For the Memory," Paramount paired Hope and Ross in this film, in which they sang "Two Sleepy People," composed and written by Hoagy Carmichael and Frank Loesser.
