ZOLTAN KODALY. Scarce vintage 1950s 8×10 glossy black and white chest-up portrait, boldly signed, Magyar style, in blue ballpoint ink, “Kodaly Z.” Fine condition, with scattered extremely mild dings and a thin band of very faint silvering along the edges, completely invisible when the photograph is viewed head on. An esteemed composer, Kodaly was also famed as an ethnomusicologist and music educator. This is only the second signed photograph I have ever seen.
