Scarce vintage 8×10 glossy black and white chest-up publicity portrait, signed in blue ballpoint ink, “With sincere/best wishes/Walter Wanger.”  Very good condition, with scattered light creasing and handling bends.  The venerable Hollywood producer was noted for his appetite for provocatively-themed films as well as glitzy big-budget romances.  Among his numerous films were Queen Christina (1933), Stagecoach (1939), Scaarlet Street (1945), and I Want to Live! (1958).  He retired following the box office failure of Cleopatra in 1963.
