Bold signature on a 6×4 green index card.  Very fine condition.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in October 1973.  John Verzi collection.  Vienna-born Walter Reisch had an unimpressive career as a director, but was far more successful as a scenarist and screenwriter.  In his early years he worked in Austria and Germany, relocated briefly to England in the mid-1930s, and ultimately came to Hollywood at the behest of Louis B. Mayer.  There he contributed to or wrote the screenplays for such films as Ninotchka (1939), Gaslight (1944), Niagara (1953), and Titanic (1953), receiving an Oscar for the latter.
