Screen tough guy Steve Brodie enjoyed a four-decade career in movies and television. He was at his peak in the mid-1940s and early 1950s, appearing in numerous Westerns and “B” films, usually as characters on the wrong side of the law, and winning an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Home of the Brave (1949).
