Bold signature and inscription, “Pour Jean/Roger Blin,” in black felt tip ink on a 6×4 green index card.  Very fine condition, with a small magazine photograph affixed at the top left corner.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in November 1972.  John Verzi collection.  French character actor Roger Blin had a five decade career, appearing in over 80 films and television movies.  He additionally had a very important career in the theater, directing the world premieres of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, Happy Days, and Endgame.  The published text of Endgame was dedicated to Brin.  Brin also enjoyed a close relationship with Jean Genet, directing the theatrical premieres of The Blacks and The Screens.
