Vintage 10.75 x 13.75 matte finish silver tone three-quarter length RKO Radio Pictures studio portrait by Ernest Bachrach, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, “To my pal George/Robert Armstrong.”  Fine condition, with minimally trimmed borders and small handling bends to the corner tips, the bend at the top left corner very slightly breaking the emulsion.  The no-nonsense leading man is best remembered as the star of King Kong (1933), but appeared in over 130 additional films during a career that spanned nearly four decades.  This is the only oversize signed photograph of Armstrong that I have ever seen.
