Uncommon vintage 7×8 glossy black and white chest-up studio portrait, signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, “To Jon/Best Wishes/Rhys Williams.”  Fine condition, with neatly trimmed borders.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this photograph was signed in person in July 1962.  John Verzi collection.  Making his screen debut in How Green Was My Valley (1941), prolific Welsh-born character actor Rhys Williams went on to appear in nearly 100 films and dozens of television series before his death in 1969.
