PHILO McCULLOUGH

Bold signature and inscription, “To John/Good Luck/Philo McCullough,” in blue fountain pen on a 6×4 white index card.  Very fine condition, with a small magazine photograph affixed at the top left corner.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in November 1966.  John Verzi collection.  Character actor Philo McCullough was most frequently cast in oily villainous roles during the silent era. He played his last major role in 1933, after which he became a bit player, frequently uncredited, in both films and television, appearing in dozens of films per year until his retirement in 1969.
