Vintage signature and inscription, “To Joe/all good wishes/Miriam Hopkins,” in black fountain pen on a pink album page,5.4 x 4.4.  Very fine condition.  Nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Becky Sharp (1935), Miriam Hopkins was also notorious for her on-set diva antics, which made her one of the best-hated performers in Hollywood. After a highly successful decade in front of the cameras, film roles began to dry up after 1940, and she would spend much of her remaining performing career onstage, where she had first established her reputation in the 1920s.
