MILDRED DAVIS

Bold signature and inscription, “To John -/Mildred Davis -,” in black fountain pen on a 6×4 white index card.  Very fine condition, with a small magazine photograph affixed at the bottom left corner.  Undated on the reverse side, but likely early 1960s.  John Verzi collection.  The actress appeared in several dozen comedy shorts before being chosen as Harold Lloyd’s leading lady in 1920, starring with him in such classic comedies as Grandma’s Boy (1922) and Safety Last (1923) before marrying Lloyd and retiring from acting. Scarce.
