Glossy 8×10 black and white chest-up studio portrait, circa 1940, boldly signed in later years in blue felt tip ink, “With good wishes/Marsha Hunt.”  Very fine condition.  The talented actress made her film debut as a teenager and appeared in over fifty films during the period 1935-50, almost always in support of a better-known star. Her film career essentially ground to a halt after she was outed for her left-leaning political activities during the McCarthy era, but she continued working steadily on television and in theaere, making a final cameo performance in a television movie in 2008 at age 91.
