Striking 4 x 5.75 matte finish reproduction of a 1920s bust portrait, boldly signed to the bottom border in later years in blue fountain pen.  Very fine condition.  Leni Riefenstahl first came to prominence as an actress in German mountaineering films during the late years of the silent screen and early sound era. She also began directing films and in 1935 was chosen by Adolf Hitler to direct the propaganda film, Triumph of the Will, a work that would continue to bedevil her reputation for another six decades.
