KAY FRANCIS. Enticing vintage 8×10 matte finish silver tone head and shoulders MGM studio portrait by Clarence Sinclair Bull, signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To Jose/sincere best wishes -/Kay Francis.” Fine condition, with pinholes in the borders. This photograph was likely taken in association with the release of The Feminine Touch (1941), the actress’s only film with MGM. After leaving Warner Bros. in 1938, Francis drifted from studio to studio, and by 1945 was reduced to financing three films at Poverty Row studio Monogram, after which she left the screen for good.
