Vintage 6.6 x 8.5 matte finish black and white portrait of Pertwee onstage alongside Welsh comic actor Stan Stennett, signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To Peter – [indecipherable]!/Jon Pertwee.” The photograph has also been inscribed in blue fountain pen by Stennett, but almost completely in a dark area of the image and quite difficult to see without angling the photograph into the light. Fine condition, with Pertwee’s inscription also signed in a dark area, but the signature clearly penned almost entirely in the blank bottom border. Jon Pertwee is best known as the third Doctor Who, a role he played from 1970-74. He enjoyed a six decade career in the theater, radio, screen and television. Stan Stennett was one of several British comics with whom he appeared onstage in broad musical comedy routines.
