JOHN GIELGUD. Vintage 8×10 glossy black and white chest-up portrait as Benjamin Disraeli, from The Prime Minister (1941), boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To John/John Gielgud.” Near very fine condition, with light scuffing to the glossy finish on his forehead, completely invisible when the image is viewed head on. The writing, penned against the dark fabric of his jacket, is quite readable on the actual photograph, although difficult to see in the accompanying scan.
