JOHN BEAL. Vintage 8×10 matte finish sepia tone chest-up portrait of the leading man of the 1930s, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “For/Bob Reichert/Many thanks &/best wishes to you./John Beal.” About fine condition, with with several faint diagonal bends running the width of the image, including one that runs through his jacket, the bends extremely difficult to discern when the photograph is viewed head on and detracting only very slightly from its overall appearance. Your money back if you disagree with my assessment. Beal starred opposite Katharine Hepburn in The Little Minister (1934) and Break of Hearts (1935). His career, which also encompassed stage and television, spanned sixty years and appearances in some three dozen films.
