Glossy 8×10 black and white chest-up studio portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black felt tip ink, “Tommy/Happy New Year/John Ireland/1982.”  The photograph is inscribed to Tommy McCabe, owner of New York’s Movie Star News, and is accompanied by a brief handwritten note requesting McCabe to send Ireland a copy of the photo for his own collection.  Very fine condition.  John Ireland’s performance in All the King’s Men (1949) proved an early peak in his 47-year screen career, winning him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting actor.
