JOAN CRAWFORD (6). Vintage 8×10 matte finish black and white MGM publicity portrait for Above Suspicion (1943), boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To Jean/from/Joan Crawford.” Fine condition, with very mild silvering in her hat, barely detectable when the photograph is viewed head on. Above Suspicion was a box office flop that led to the termination of Crawford’s contract with MGM. The following year began the second phase of her career, this time at Warner Bros.
