Bold vintage signature and inscription, “To John/Best Wishes/Jeremy Lloyd,” in black fountain pen on a 6×4 white index card.  Very fine condition.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in April 1965.  John Verzi collection. Writer and actor Jeremy Lloyd was the inspiration behind and creator of the popular British television series, “Whodunnit?,” “Are You Being Served?,” and “‘Allo ‘Allo!.”  He also acted — often in cameo appearances — in such films as School for Scoundrels (1960), The Wrong Box (1966), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), and was a regular performer on “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In.”  Scarce.
