Vintage 3.3 x 5.4 glossy black and white chest-up portrait, boldly signed and inscribed (in indecipherable French) in blue fountain pen and dated 1939 in his hand.  Fine condition, with light soiling in the background along the right edge, and a few surface scuffs.  Jean Tissier’s screen career spanned approximately 45 years, during which he appeared in close to 250 films, including The Murderer Lives at Number 21 (1942), Gigi (1949), …And God Created Woman (1956), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1956), cast in both leading and supporting roles.
