JANE HYLTON

Glossy vintage 3.4 x 5.4 black and white head and shoulders portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in green felt tip ink, “To Jon/all good wishes/Jane Hylton.”  Fine condition, with a band of light toning along the bottom edge.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in September 1973.  John Verzi collection.  The British actress was at her peak in the late 1940s and early 1950s, appearing in such films as It Always Rains on Sunday (1947), Here Come the Huggetts (1948), and Passport to Pimlico (1949), later helping to pay the bills by acting in schlock horror films such as The Manster (1959) and Circus of Horrors (1960).
