Vintage 8×10 glossy black and white chest-up publicity portrait by Autrey, boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint ink, “To/Bonnie Lou/Best Wishes/James Flavin.”  Fine condition, with a few mild diagonal bends to the top left corner, minimally intruding into the background.  Between 1931 and his death in 1976, character actor James Flavin was a non-stop acting machine, appearing in about 400 films as well as an additional 80 television series. He generally portrayed policemen, detectives, military officers or prison guards, with many of his appearances unbilled. This is the first signed photograph I have had in eight years.
