HOWARD KEEL. vintage 8×10 matte finish silver tone bust portrait, boldly signed in blue fountain pen, “Best of everything/Howard Keel.” Some uneven ink flow to the first name of his signature, which is, nonetheless, entirely readable and stands out rather better on the actual photograph than in the accompanying scan; otherwise very fine condition. The robust-voiced baritone starred in some of MGM’s most prestigious late musicals, including Kiss Me, Kate (1953) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954). He also appeared for a decade on the television prime time soap, “Dallas, ” in the role of Clayton Farlow. Vintage signed photographs are surprisingly uncommon.
