Extremely scarce 14×11 vintage matte finish black and white portrait of Truman on election night 1948, holding up a copy of the Chicago Daily Trubine declaring “Dewey Defeats Truman,” signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To Hon. Charles V. Day/who didn’t believe it either!/Harry S. Truman.”  Fine condition, with mild bends to the corner tips; thin bands of light silvering along portions of the dark edges; and the ink slightly faded and having turned slightly brownish with age.  The silvering can likely be completely or almost completely erased.  Accompanied by letters of authenticity from University Archives and PSA/DNA.
