Vintage 4×6 glossy black and white head and shoulders publicity portrait, signed in black fountain pen.  Fine condition, with portions of his signature penned against the dark fabric of his clothing, best viewed by angling the photograph slightly into the light.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in August 1965.  John Verzi collection.  The Berlin-based stage, screen and television actor, who was a favorite in his native city, appeared in some 60 films during his career and also starred in several long-running German television series.  He dubbed the voices of such actors as Kirk Douglas, Robert Ryan and Charles Bronson in numerous German-language releases of Hollywood hits.
