Bold signature and inscription, “Pour/Jean/Souvenir/de Ginette Leclerc,” in black felt tip ink on a 6×4 pink index card.  Very fine condition.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in October 1973.  John Verzi collection.  During a five-decade screen and television career, French actress Ginette Leclerc appeard in 90 films, including The Baker’s Wife (1938), Le Corbeau (1943), and Tropic of Cancer (1970).  Usually cast as a femme fatale or villainess, she was nicknamed “the most murdered actress in France” in the 1940s because so many of her characters met well-deserved bad ends.
