Bold signature and inscription, “Hi, John!/Gene Sheldon,” in blue fountain pen on a 6×4 white index card.  Very fine condition, with a small magazine photograph affixed at the top left corner.  A pencil notation on the reverse side indicates that this autograph was obtained in person in January 1964.  John Verzi collection.  Noted for his pantomime abilities, comedian and occasional film actor Gene Sheldon is best remembered as Bernardo, the mute servant of Don Diego in the “Zorro” series of the 1950s. Autographed material in any format is extremely scarce.
