EUBIE BLAKE. Bold vintage signature in black fountain pen on a pink album page, about 5×2. Unevenly trimmed edges and a pencil annotation at the bottom edge, well away from the signature; otherwise very fine condition. The celebrated jazz and ragtime composer co-wrote, with his long-time partner, Noble Sissle, Shuffle Along (1921), the first Broadway musical by African-Americans. The show introduced what became Blake’s signature hit, “I’m Just Wild About Harry.”
