Scarce vintage 8×10 glossy black and white publicity portrait of Kovacs alongside singer tony Martin, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, “To Tony – Whom I’ve seen/a great deal of/Ernie.”  Fine condition, with scattered mild handling bends that detract only slightly from overall appearance.  Comedian Ernie Kovacs was a broadcasting iconoclast whose genius was based largely on offbeat visual gags and improvisation. He was killed in an automobile accident in January 1962 just a few weeks shy of his 42nd birthday.
