EDWARD G. ROBINSON (3). Vintage 10×8 glossy black and white lobby still portrait from Dr. Ehrlich’s Magic Bullet (1940), boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint ink, “To/Albert C./Wilkerson -/Sincerely/Edward G. Robinson.” Fine condition, with tape remnants on the reverse side and scattered mild bends and scuffs that do not substantially detract from the overall appearance of the image. Dr. Ehrlich’s Magic Bullet was one of the last and best of Warner Bros.’ acclaimed series of biopics and afforded Edward G. Robinson one of his finest screen roles. Albert Wilkerson amassed one of the world’s largest collections of vintage Hollywood signed photographs, which he normally disfigured with countless pinholes, creasing, trimming, etc. This photograph miraculously escaped his usual depradations.
