Vintage 4.75 x 6.75 matte finish black and white chest-up studio portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, “To/Eric/from/Craig Reynolds.”  Fine condition, with mounting remnants on the reverse side; slightly trimmed borders; and an ink smudge to a single letter of the inscription.  The good-looking actor played second leads and occasional unbilled roles in over 60 films, primarily at Warner Bros., throughout the 1930s. He was essentially unable to restart his career following decorated military service in World War II and was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1949 at the age of 42.
