BRANDON deWILDE

Vintage signature in fine-point black felt tip ink on a 6×4 blue index card. Very fine condition, with a small magazine photograph affixed at the top right corner. Making an award-winning Broadway debut in The Member of the Wedding at age seven, Brandon de Wilde went on to star in the 1952 film version of the play, and the following year won an Oscar nomination for his performance in Shane (1953). He successfully transitioned into juvenile roles, winning acclaim a decade later for his performances in All Fall Down (1962) and Hud (1963), finding work as well onstage and in television. He died in a motor accident in 1972 at the age of 30. Autographed material in virtually any format is quite elusive.
