Glossy 8×10 black and white half-length portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in fine-point blue felt tip ink, “To Rick/All the best -/Bob/Newhart.”  Fine condition, with scattered very mild thumbing bends, all virtually invisible when the photograph is viewed head on.  The distinctively low-key standup comic dominated television ratings with two long-running comedy series in the 1970s and 1980s, and has continued to make effective if sporadic film and television appearances in subsequent years. He was the 2002 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for comedy.
