BILL TRAVERS. Vintage 8×10 glossy black and white studio bust portrait, boldly signed in turqoise fountain pen, “Best wishes/Bill Travers.” Fine condition, with scattered extremely mild thumbing bends that do not noticeably detract from the overall appearance of the image. Bill Travers appeared in several dozen films, most notably Born Free (1965), in which he starred opposite his wife, Virginia McKenna. He was also memorable in the half-forgotten 1955 gem, Wee Geordie, in which he starred opposite Alastair Sim as a puny Scottish lad turned Olympic powerhouse.
