Semi-glossy 4×6 black and white bust portrait, boldly signed to the bottom border in black felt tip ink.  A tiny bend to the bottom right corner tip; otherwise very fine condition.  The Austrian actor and director, who appeared in over 70 big screen and television films, is best known for The Bridge, his grim and gripping 1959 anti-war drama, which won an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film, and The Miracle of Father Malachia (1961), a film not well known in the U.S. but the winner of multiple German awards for best film and best director.
