Wallace MacDonald
WALLACE MacDONALD. Vintage 1920s 8x10 matte finish sepia tone chest-up profile portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, "Best wishes to/every one in/The Club/Sincerely/Wallace MacDonald." Photo by Witzel. Fine condition, with mild creasing and a tiny piece of paper loss to the top right corner tip. Wallace MacDonald was a leading man of the silent screen, starring in scores of films through 1927. With the advent of sound, he precipitously declined to playing bit roles and in 1937 launched a new career as a producer, successfully bringing over 100 "B" films to the screen over the next two decades.
