TOM NEAL. Vntage 1940s 8x10 matte finish silver tone three-quarter length publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in purple fountain pen, "Best wishes/always John/from/Tom Neal." Fine condition, with small bends to three corner tips and a bit of light waviness along a small portion of the right border. Tom Neal had a busy career in the 1940s as a tough leading man in "B" films, most notably the 1945 classic, Detour. By the early 1950s, his violent temper got him blackballed in Hollywood and in 1965 he was convicted of manslaughter in the killing of his third wife.
