THURSTON HALL. Vintage 7.75 x 9.75 matte finish sepia tone publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, "Best wishes to Joe & [indecipherable]/Thurston Hall/1952." Very good condition, with slightly trimmed borders; noticeable silvering, most running along the right side of the image; and a faint vertical bend running from the bottom of his chin through the collar of his coat. Most of the silvering is erasable with a bit of effort. Thurston Hall's film career spannced four decades and included over 200 film appearances. He was usually cast as a blustery blowhard, perhaps most memorably as Mr. Schuyler, Leo G. Carroll's boss in the popular "Topper" series in the early 1950s.
