THOMAS MITCHELL. Mammoth vintage 11.75 x 14.5 borderless matte finish silver tone chest-up portrait, boldly inscribed in blue fountain pen, "To Eddy/With all good wishes/Thomas Mitchell." Fine condition, with the entire image affixed to an identical piece of thin mat board. The apparent background bend on the right side is purely a scanner glitch, not present in the actual photograph. Rather overwhelming visually, and extremely uncommon in oversize format.
