Fine condition, with a pnhole in the top border and two mild bends in the background, not substantially detracting from the overall appearance of the image. A notation on the reverse side indicates that this photograph was signed in December 1943, five years after Chatterton's last film. During her decade in Hollywood, she had earned two Oscar nominations, but ultimately returned to the stage, where she had originally garnered fame.
