Vintage 1930s 8x10 glossy black and white chest-up publicity portrait of the prolific comic character actor, famous for his patented stutter, boldly signed and inscribed across his hand (with some of the lettering on his face) in green fountain pen, "For Jeff Keene/My very BBBB/Bbest wishes to/a real movie/editor/Rosco Ates." Fine condition, with a tiny chip in the right border and scattered mild handling bends that do not substantially detract from the overall appearance of the image. The writing is substantially bolder on the actual photograph than it appears in the accomanying scan.
