Richard Greene
RICHARD GREENE. Vintage 3.5 x 5.5 glossy black and white portrait, circa 1938, signed in blue fountain pen, "Good luck/Richard Greene." Near very fine condition, with mounting remnants to the reverse side and the ink a shade light but quite readable, although difficult to discern in the accompanying scan. The handsome British leading man was groomed as a rival to Tyrone Power and appeared in numerous swashbucklers during the 1940s and beyond. His most lasting fame came as the star of the long-running television series, "Robin Hood," in the 1950s. Authentically signed photographs are somewhat uncommon.
