Scarce vintage 1937 8x10 glossy seia tone chest-up publicity portrait for Paramount Pictures, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, "To/Richard Vincent/with best wishes/from/Porter Hall." Fine condition, with bent corner tips and slight surface puckering along the left edge as a result of the photograph having been glued into an album book at an earlier date. Extensive mounting remnants are in evidence on the reverse side. Character actor Porter Hall appeared in over 70 films, mostly in the 1930s and '40s, often portraying pompous blowhards or slipper villains.
