PATRICIA COLLINGE. Vintage 7 x 9.75 matte finish sepia tone publicity portrait, circa 1920, boldly inscribed in black fountain pen, "To Mr. Brown -/Sincerely/Patricia Collinge." Very good condition, with scattered creasing and soiling, almost all of it confined to the borders, detracting slightly from overall appearance. Parimarily a stage actress, Patricia Collinge appeared in 28 Broadway productions over a span of four decades. While her film appearances were sparse, she won a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her screen debut as Birdie Hubbard in The Little Foxes (1941), reprising the role she had created in the play's debut the previous year. Signed photographs are quite uncommon.
