MOIRA SHEARER. Vintage 3.5 x 5.5 glossy black and white portrait of Shearer en pointe, signed to the lower border in blue fountain pen. Fine condition, with a mild vertical bend in the bottom border that intersects the last two letters of her signature, detracting only slightly from the overall appearance of the image. The acclaimed ballerina and occasional actress is best remembered for her performance in The Red shoes (1948), directed by Michael Powell. She also starred in Powell's notoriously controversial Peeping Tom (1960).
