MAXIE ROSENBLOOM. Vintage 1940s 8x10 matte finish sepia tone chest-up portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen, "To My Pal Jack/Maxie Rosenbloom." Fine condition, with a small tear at the top left, impinging slighly into the background and repaired on the reverse side with scotch tape. The boxing champ turned actor appeared in scores of films over a career that endured for 35 years, almost invariably playing thugs and henchmen, frequently to great comic effect. Signed photographs are rather uncommon.
