MARJORIE GATESON. Uncommon 8x10 glossy 1930s sepia tone chest-up glamour portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in later years in blue fountain pen, "To Robert Quinn/Best wishes/Marjorie Gateson/1960." Fine condition, with staple holes in the borders and scattered very mild handling bends, most being virtually invisible when the image is viewed head on. Character actress Marjorie Gateson came to Hollywood in 1931 after lengthy experience on the stage, and appeared in more than 80 films over the next 15 years before embarking on a lengthy television career. With her regal bearing and crisp diction, she was almost invariably cast as a haughty society snob.
