LEX BARKER. Glossy 3.5 x 5.5 black and white head and shoulders portrait of the handsome, athletic leading man best known as the screen's tenth Tarzan, boldly signed with his name alone in blue felt tip ink. Very fine condition. In 1957, with his career in Hollywood at a standstill, the multi-lingual actor moved to Europe, where he found work in several countries. He became especially popular in Germany, playing in numerous films based on the novels of 19th century author Karl May. This photograph depicts him as Old Shatterhand, one of May's best-known characters.
